A week in the life....

simonpearse

As a start to the blog today I thought we'd take a minute to attempt to explain our weekly routine and how we manage it best!

Dwarfs 1-4 all play football, all for different teams and different ages groups, D5 the two year old is keen to play football and the twins D6&7 yet to be born will not have a choice i'm sure!

Jo White and I spend most of our week working out logistics and which car and who goes where; we have training on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays; and two games on Saturday mornings (from September four games on Saturdays!) So you could say we have a busy life.

Couple that with a busy job and Jo White absolutely smashing growing the twins and you've got yourself a tired parent team

However I can safely say I wouldn't change it for the world, in fact in Summer when work was quiet and football was taking a break I can honestly say the downtime got me a little crazy. Not one for DIY myself but at that time I was keen to take on any project, building roofs, fences, gates, shelves - anything I could think of, unfortunately it's not my best skill and in most instances needed to call in the experts!

If this blog does attract anyone and you're looking for ways to manage logistics I would strongly recommend a written down calendar and a strong level of communication, even if the other half doesn't overly care about the activity, talk about it and write it down! We would be lost without it!
